I went to my county fair today by myself. First time for me since I usually go to the state fair (by myself too). The rides look good but I don't go on them because what is the point of it when you are by yourself? The last time I've been to an amusement park was probably 2006 I think (Kings Island) but I was with my brother.

Do you go to amusement parks or fairs by yourself? Do you enjoy it or does it have to be a shared experience with someone?

I love going to fairs and getting on the rides alone. It sucks a little when you have glasses.

Holy shit, Kings Island? Is that the same one I'm thinking of a few miles outside of Cincinnati?

Only one I know of! It's only roughly 2 hours away from me and I think I've been there probably twice in my life. I would love to go back to Cedar Point someday though.

I was there a lot when I was a kid -- at least once a summer. Haven't been in 15 years, though.

Cedar Point is fucking awesome.

I don't go to amusment parks by myself because there are none near me, so when I go to one it's always on a trip, and I don't take trips by myself.

However, I do go on rides by myself if whomever I'm with does not like/is scared of rides. I go one rides because I enjoy the rides.

I did once and it was a-ma-zing. It was on a school day, amusement park was nearly empty, some of the rides were started for me alone and I want like 3 times in a row. 10//10, would recommend. But then, I'm the kind of person who does stuff alone and enjoys it. I go to movies alone, travel alone, go to cons alone etc.

Now I'm debating that I should have gone on some of the rides even though I was by myself. The swings are at least an individual experience, though I'm not sure about the tilt-a-whirl More fun when there are more people in the thing trying to push it around to go in circles.

Don't feel bad about it - there's just nothing wrong with doing it. Yeah, some people might look at you funny. But some people are idiots.

I've never done an amusement park by myself, but I've done the county fair and local carnival by myself. Mostly because I like going with someone because there isn't really a close amusement park so I'll plan a whole day out of it.

But I do a lot of things by myself, like travel to new cities or even explore the bigger cities by my house.

Sometimes alone. It is good, especially with single rider.

I never have. I always have people that want to go with me as soon as I mention going. My family is made up of adrenaline junkies, apparently.

I never go to amusement parks by myself. Not that I couldn't, but I enjoy going to them with my husband.

I would go to a fair/amusement park by myself if I had the chance and definitely on rides alone. Sometimes you have to even with other people since they won't want to go on it and you don't want to miss out on it. Plus I just like going alone as I can really immerse myself in the experience instead of being distracted by someone else whooping. My only caution would be, if you're there when few other people are, to be careful where you sit on certain rides if you're the only one on it.

I was the only person on one of those pirate ship rides once and sat at the very end. I think because it was without the extra weight of the other people it went much faster, too much so as I was actively clinging to the handle bar and bracing my feet so I wouldn't be thrown forward and off the ride at the top.

I would be extremely happy going to an amusement park by myself :D Don't have to annoy anyone by going on ALL THE ROLLERCOASTERS IN EXISTENCE. The taller, faster, steeper, and twistier, the better. Extreme G-forces wheeee!!

Hi, I'm Naomi and I am a rollercoaster junkie. I want to go to Magic Mountain so bad. Tatsu and X2 omg. I would literally go to Abu Dhabi, ride Formula Rossa like three times, and leave again. I would brave NEW JERSEY just to ride Kingda Ka. Desperately want to go on The Smiler at Alton Towers, it has FOURTEEN inversions. The first time I went to a proper amusement part with proper awesome rides (Australia's Wonderland), I rode the Demon three times, and when I went to MovieWorld, I think I hit up Lethal Weapon four times? (Before it was rebranded as Arkham Asylum, and, unfortunately, before they opened up Superman Escape ;_; )

Er, basically, yes, I'd go to an amusement park and on rides by myself, as I can't think of any family or friends who can keep up with me on rollercoasters ;)

Not anymore. Our usual fair shut down from where it used to be held about...6 years ago, if I remember right, and has been moved to a different location. And it SUCKS. Cause where we used to have the fair was in the main Fair Grounds of our city by what is now a shell of an amusement park, which shut down 9 years ago. Because our fucking former Mayor refused to expand the damn thing. B/ Plus, we've lost our most well known roller coaster, one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the country. So, instead of allowing it to rot away and such, we sold it away.

Grrr.

I haven't been to an amusement park since I went to Disney World in 2010.
