I would go to a fair/amusement park by myself if I had the chance and definitely on rides alone. Sometimes you have to even with other people since they won't want to go on it and you don't want to miss out on it. Plus I just like going alone as I can really immerse myself in the experience instead of being distracted by someone else whooping. My only caution would be, if you're there when few other people are, to be careful where you sit on certain rides if you're the only one on it.

I was the only person on one of those pirate ship rides once and sat at the very end. I think because it was without the extra weight of the other people it went much faster, too much so as I was actively clinging to the handle bar and bracing my feet so I wouldn't be thrown forward and off the ride at the top.
