I remember watching a documentary on this and having similar feelings... what are their governments doing to let their kids stay? One boy was running from his abusive stepfather... I'm not saying our system is always the best at dealing with that either, but holy shit, was there really not one legal official he could've turned to first? I believe in helping immigrants who have to find refuge, but it seems to me their own governments don't want to do much to help them, and that's also a problem.
