Animation is a medium like live-action so think of it like this: For every Citizen Kane you get 10 Pulp Fictions, 20 Avengers and a whole lot of Freddie Got Fingered(s).

For animation, for every Fantasia, you get 10 Triplet of Bellvilles, 20 Frozens and then a whole lot of Madagascars.

An amazing, innovative film-> A good chunk of great films-> Solid entertaining films -> Whatever.

Except animation has a bigger crap to good ratio.

Yeah, agreed. The medium limits itself a lot (story wise) by catering to children/general audiences. Not that every movie has to be deep or dark or complex to be great. But yeah...limiting.

You clearly haven't spent as much time as I have watching shitty horror movies.
