"you've ever seen"

That's all you needed to add, OP, to keep me from asking if you've scrutinized every anime and manga ever made to evaluate the polyamory potential of each and every character and set of characters.

So.

Have you scrutinized every anime and manga ever made to evaluate the polyamory potential of each and every character and set of characters?

have you ever considered why you became such a pedantic ass?

I get it from my dad. The pedantry, that is -- the being an ass comes from being an anon on the internet.

:-)

You think you're being witty, but you're actually insufferable.

It wouldn't be "you've ever seen;" it would be "I'd ever seen." If they had written "you've ever seen," then they'd be talking about someone else rather than about themselves, and that would make for a very strange and confusing secret, indeed.

Now, had you not put "you've ever seen" in quotes, then the use of "you've" would have been appropriate.

SA

Oh, my word! "I'd" should be "I've!" Goodness me, I have defeated myself. I cannot bear the shame. My face must henceforth be hidden away from the world.
