I at least say 'thank you' to every comment I get, except for ones which make no sense (one today was simply a question mark, and I didn't get it, and didn't want to take the time write an entire question out as to what did the commenter mean by just posting a question mark?).

If I get more of a comment than, "This is great! I love it!", then I'll generally give a more in-depth response. I figure, you take the time to comment, the least I can do is respond.

I think I'd reply to the "?" with a "!".

I'll remember that if I get another "?"
