No, that was what the message was SUPPOSED to be, but Andy didn't change at all except in her fashion sense. She started taking the magazine seriously, but she never became cutthroat. She was literally blackmailed into going to Paris.

Hm, that could be it. I remember the plot, but not really the characters, which would be important.

This. That message would've been more effective if Andy had changed. She really didn't do anything wrong, IMO.
