Honestly, though, even if it was psychological, it should still be taken seriously, in my opinion It may be 'all in someone's head', but well... who you are is all in your head, too. The brain is a very, very important organ, and just because your brain is simulating the pain rather than reacting to stimuli from the rest of the body isn't going to make it any easier on the sufferer or their mental state and long term health than actual physical pain.

The treatments will be very different, sure, but I still think it's very important to treat both!
