Kubo has said the more hate Orihime gets, the more he puts her in the manga iirc. And I love hime for that.

Yeah, remember when that famous singer's son traced pages of his manga for his comic? And his response was, "Then his comic must have awesome tits." Haha, he's a card.

You mean Gene Simmons' son Nick.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-24 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that tells you why the manga stopped going anywhere after a while.

Do you mean you love "Him" and had a typo or are you using a nickname for Orihime?

Either way, I've always thought putting her in just because people hate her is a stupid thing to do. Deliberately putting off readers by throwing a character they don't like in their face looses him money (not that it would hurt him at this point), and it actually hurts the character besides.

I wouldn't care if his putting her in more meant she was doing something significant or actively moving the plot, but like OP said, she's eating donuts and hotdogs; literally chewing up panels that could be devoted to plot or Ichigo. He can go close to a year without appearing in the manga for the time taken on the many side characters, and when he does show up those chapters are mostly devoted to his new power up or him listening to someone else monologuing.

That was a typo.

If I remember correctly, he said that in response to constant harassment he got from twitter from people who hate her.

I thought Kubo is only still doing Bleach because Shonen Jump (or whatever company/magazine owns the rights) makes him? Pretty sure he wanted to end it ages ago, and is now just trolling the shit out of the series and the fans because he stopped caring,

Then I should make some twitter accounts and tweet about how much I hate Rukia. I don't care about anyone else in that manga besides her. I want her to top it all and become the captain of the 1st division.

You and me both, Anon.

I'm sticking it out for her most of all and a handful of side characters. Everyone else can piss the hell off.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-25 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
I believe that was proven untrue. It's not like Kubo has a way of knowing every single time his character is hated, by the way.

Can't provide the source of where I read about this because I just didn't care enough but whatever.
