Well, a pretty terrible storm is rolling in. I just went outside to look at it and it is moving fast. So, I'll be keeping an eye on the news and hope we don't have to use the storm shelter this early into the storm season. :C

A bit sad. I went to the city where I did my undergrad degree to visit some friends, but I had to head back today.

Pretty shitty. I'm struggling not to succumb to depression but it's so damn hard when you get confronted by friends posting about handing in their thesis while you should have been done with it a year ago but simply didn't manage it for a shitload of reasons. And I don't resent them for mentioning it, it's just that I feel like even more of a failure when this happens. Especially since mutual friends who know about my own situation see those posts as well and I can't help feeling like they must judge me (even though they probably don't). So yeah, I feel like shit.

Cut my index finger on my dominant hand right at the tip, which is exactly the most annoying place to make it hard to do absolutely everything :(

I've been sleeping like shit, so I had to stay up all night so I could go to the hardware store to pick up a birthday gift my mom wanted. If I'd gone to bed I'd have slept 'til they closed.

Could be worse. Finally got a response to the last job application I filled out (I get to take the written exam, which, if it's anything like the last one I had to take for a similar government position, I can ace in my sleep), and I finally have the ingredients to make myself a lovely chicken salad the next time I have a few minutes alone in the kitchen. But on the other hand two of our dogs need to go to the vet over the next two days for what we hope are minor problems, and since one of them has never been to the vet before (recently-adopted puppy; been to the shot clinic but not had a full exam) we don't know how he's going to react.

I almost feel bad for having a good day. Bought a brand new car on financing (2014 Chevy Cruze LT) over 6 years, which is what I did with my last car (also brand new, a Cobalt). I have the car now but will sign the papers tomorrow. My financing request was approved before I left the dealership. Best part was that I didn't need a co-signer like I did last time (my dad did it for me). It's a very nice car. So, unusually, I'm actually pretty happy atm.

Eh. I got lost about twenty times on my way to the doctor's office for the first time (first time with that doctor, not my first time ever visiting a doctor in general, haha) and the fact that the was construction everywhere didn't help. I somehow ended up in downtown Dallas and I fucking hate driving in Dallas. And then I got in the worst traffic jam on the way back. The doctor was really nice though, so there's that

My work day was spent making a thing for someone. Once I was done, I uploaded it to the site... and noticed it looked off. After a second I realized I'd made an error that resulted in me having to start the whole thing over from scratch.

So I started over, and made it a second time, and uploaded it to the site... and noticed it looked REALLY REALLY off now. Squinted at it for awhile trying to figure out what the deal was... and realized that I'd actually initially made TWO errors that would have resulted in me having to redo the whole thing from scratch, but only spotted the first error.

So I made the entire thing a third time. ;_;

But on the bright side, the friend I was cosplaying with at a con over the weekend had her husband upload the pics he took of us, and I'm like OMG OMG OMG OMGGGGGGGG :D Because I had had a craptastic day to that point, had forgotten a couple parts of my costume, and she had been waiting for me to get there for hours, wearing stiletto heels, and was tired and wanted to start the long drive home already by the time I got there - and we STILL look freaking awesome. And she wants to come back over to my area to take more pics in the costumes, with my bunnies, and aaaaaaaagggghhh I want this to happen NOW. :D

I didn't go to sleep until 9am so to me terrible tuesday has felt terribly short. (though my extra long monday was pretty fun)
