Re: THAT'S ALL GREAT BUT SEE EDGE OF TOMORROW

Speaking of POC rep, while I think EoT was a very fine movie that everyone should watch if they can suppress their revulsion for Tom Cruise long enough, I've been wondering if it would start getting flack in SJW corners. You know, for being an adaptation that replaces the Japanese lead character from the book with, well, Tom Cruise. Any of that going on? Or is the movie really too irrelevant for anyone to work up the effort?

An aside: I think Pacific Rim, while inferior in terms of writing and characterization, has more replay value. I don't know if I'd want to see EoT again; I was pretty satisfied with my time in the theater. But goddamn, sometimes you just want to load up that Robot vs Kaiju fight and relive the spectacle of it all.

Tom Cruise is a black hole that sort of swollows up all other issues surrounding his life and work, including anything the SJWs might have a problem with.
