Re: I read something about why soap writers are leery about writing queer characters.

I once was at an assessment center for soap writing, and the writer who ran it said the exact same thing. I still think that's a lazy excuse, because yeah, some bi characters could easily fix that. However, it's true that most soaps have a very heteronormative bend, and they don't wanna scare off viewers who watch for that reason.
