I don't own a smartphone, either, or use non-fictional social networks. I'm a private person and I don't like being accessible all of the time. What really pisses me off is that I've seen some talk about how it might affect my employment opportunities, because employers like being able to find an applicant on Facebook to examine their whole life and how they interact with people, and they assume you have something to hide because you don't post your business for everyone to see. I hate everything about that idea.

That's actually what sort of inspired it, this guy I freelance for is obsessed with social media, and basically wants us to be constantly available. But, I only do a few assignment for him per month. Grr.
