Me too. It's kind of hard for me to explain, but I think their tones just don't mesh very well. Like, no matter how bad things are in the MCU, there's the feeling (at least for me) that things will get better, and the ends are still hopeful, no matter what happened along the way. They're not necessarily "lighter", but they make me feel better about myself and my life.

The X-Men movies didn't do that for me, and the newer Spiderman movies had their moments, but at times they still felt less hopeful.
