Except studies have shown that rape actually goes DOWN when porn is more readily available...

BULL. A hundred bucks says this is a "study" that was cooked up to justify "rape is about poor sexually frustrated menz and it's the fault of those frigid bitches who won't put out on demand" misogyny.

DA

The study anon was referring to is from Northwestern University School of Law, and it's ranked the 11th best grad school in the country. All bets are off about the motivation for the study, but the report itself is relatively short and talks about a correlation at least between access to porn and rape statistics.

Let's see that hundred dollars.

nayrt

if i get to make a guess on that i'm going to go with less stigma and shame about sex leads to less rape and more porn

Are you the lawyer who asked a shrink if a pic of a women with a cucumber up her vagina was garden variety porn?

Also, I think we can all agree that porn has become more readily available since the rise of the internet in the late 90s, right? During that period of time, rape (along with other violent crime) has continued to decline.

Correlation doesn't prove causation, but lack of correlation DOES prove lack of causation.
