It's fun if you live in Western Europe or US. People mostly can afford manga/anime and it's available in English and licensed. The wages aren't outrageously low and good not so expensive. I'm still amazed that I can afford DVDs in UK - it doesn't cost an arm and a hand, wow!

But in my hometown EVERYTHING was pirated. EVERYTHING! Till a few years ago government companies ran on pirated software and PCs in store had illegal systems/programs installed. Sure, it's not right and theft is theft but who says you have to be the good guy.

I never was. Pssst, I recorded music on tapes from TV :D . AND RADIO. My uncle had all the cartoons recorded on VCR. Ah, fun.
