So what did you buy?

I bought:
Braid (which I am playing)
Borderlands 1 & 2
Bastion (which is what I will play after Braid I think)
The Swapper
Terraria (I tried to play this, I don't understand it)
The Walking Dead: Season 2 (I will play when all the episodes come out)
Closure
Lego MARVEL Super Heroes

I love Terraria, but yeah...I spent my first two days just flailing around, with no idea of what to do.

This beginner's guide is pretty helpful; it starts out with what you should do on your first day, then gives you the basics of exploring and crafting. That's pretty much all you need to know for the early part of the game.

Nothing. There's just nothing that I want enough to justify spending any amount of money on that I haven't bought in previous Steam sales, tbh.

It helps that I don't really play many games at all.

This + Sonic games are still Windows exclusive like what the hell.

Nada, I'm poor and still haven't played some games I still own, so I restrained myself.

I bought nothing...my friend bought me New Vegas.

I caved and got the Civilization V complete edition. But I'm already wishing I hadn't bought it. I think I'm always going to prefer Civilization IV and I'll probably barely play V at all.

Saints Row 4 (3 I already had but it was a package deal and I did the math and the package was cheaper then buying SR4 and it's DLC alone at the time)

Not a lot imo.

Gone Home (ignored the hype and anti-hype, and I really loved it. It's basically a walking visual novel)
Bioshock Infinite and a season pass for it.
Operation Crimson Hammer dlc for Spiral Knights. Only a buck fifty for another set of levels and a 5* super hammer? hecka yes
Tropico 4 along with a bunch of dlc included in the bundle. Not sure if I should have got 3, or even 5, but I bet I'm going to like this game maybe.

I didn't buy anything because my first paycheck comes in in a week or so (I think), but I got 3 games as early birthday presents from friends who didn't want me to miss the sale. <3 One bought me Creeper World 3: Arc Eternal and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion*, and another bought me Fallout New Vegas (mainly because he had just started playing it and wanted me to, but it does look pretty cool)

*I'm in the middle of a huge Skyrim bend, so I'll be going backwards lol.

So far I've only played Crimzon Clover and Danmaku Unlimited. I'll try the rest of the shmups (Astebreed, Ether Vapor, Ikaruga, Satazius) over the week and then...I dunno. I'm trying to decide between Metro: Last Light, Transistor, or Dark Souls.

I was good this year, just XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Assassin's Creed: Liberation. I would have gotten Tomb Raider, too, if I didn't already get it for free with my video card. I really wanted Bound By Flame and Remember Me, but they didn't get cheap enough, and I have enough to occupy me now to wait to see how low they get during the Christmas sale.

I only got Skyrim! I had been coveting it on-and-off since it was first released, but of course, I have no time to play at the moment.

I also came very close to getting Goat Simulator, which I still want, but it's pretty new, so I am hoping will go on sale again later. I don't like spending too much at once, even when its price is already majorly cut.
