I caved and got the Civilization V complete edition. But I'm already wishing I hadn't bought it. I think I'm always going to prefer Civilization IV and I'll probably barely play V at all.

Are you me? I got Civ V when it first came out and I've played 90 hours total, but I'm pretty sure I've played at least twice that much of Civ IV easily. It's not that I hate Civ V, but something about it isn't quite as fun as IV, perhaps it's the slower gameplay.

Yeah, I think I need to play V some more to give it a fair shot, but so far the whole time I'm playing it I just keep thinking "I would be enjoying this much more if it were Civ IV instead rn." I've been playing IV so much for years, I've probably logged a couple thousand hours by now, lol.
