+1 but I did like her a lot more in the Thor sequel. Still not exactly one of my favorites though

ayrt; The only thing I could think of is that it was a self-insert the author didn't want to advertize as a self-insert, or Bucky was another notch on the Darcy fan's list to pair her with.

Also Bucky/Jemma - like, okay, I've actually read one and it was cute, but it's sch a far-fetched ship.

I suspect it's the same deal; self-insert that didn't want to advertise as such.
