Re: Why on Earth am I still watching this crap?

Most of the time it's because I hate starting things and not finishing them (which I'm trying to not do anymore because there's no point in wasting time on shows I don't enjoy anymore) but sometimes I genuinely do think there's a chance it'll get back to the show I originally liked, or a particular actor/character (or a ship) is enough to keep me watching even if the rest sucks.

Yeah, if you don't even know how many seasons are still left, it really feels like wasting your time. It's easier to watch till the bitter end, if you know that this is the final season.

+1. When I pick something to binge on Netflix, I'm a lot more forgiving of shows that have ended. Even if it's a long-runner, having an endpoint makes me feel like I'm "allowed" to expend my energy on it even though I won't get as good a return as I'd like.

Yep. I thought HIMYM had gotten horrible but since I knew it was the last season I wanted to stick with it to the end.
