I really hope Toph and Sokka isn't canon, simply because I loved Sokka and Suki too much to want to see them broken up. Besides, Toph's crush seemed totally one-sided to me. Sokka thought of Toph as another little sister.

Ditto. In the midst of all the Zutara/Kataang shipping wars, Sokka/Suki was a haven of relative peace, and as such the only pairing I cared about.

Personally I wouldn't care if they never specified the father. Maybe Toph just had a miraculous conception - I wouldn't put it past her.

I kind of hope that Legend of Korra never reveals who Lin's father is. Or it turns out Toph earthbended her into existence.

Or you know, Toph just deciding that marriage isn't for her, but motherhood is, and finding a guy to do the do with to have a baby. She'd be the woman to singlehanded destroy stigma against single mothers. How cool would it be to have a kid's show feature a single mother that wasn't "nobly carrying on after the death of her beloved husband" but a "I wanted a baby, I got a baby, I'm handling myself just fine"?

I'm on Team Teoph myself, at least for Lin's half. I could see Sokka being Lin's sister's dad, I don't want it to be exactly, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
