I honestly can't figure out what's likeable about Thorin except that he's a hot dwarf. I found him obnoxiously overplayed - like that scene where that one old dwarf is explaining their history and Thorin is standing on the cliff posing, so annoying. The movie wants us to think he's badass so badly, when most of the time he's just insufferable. Then again, I pretty much hate everything about the Hobbit movies. I really wish I liked them. I fangirled over LOTR so hard, but I just find so little about them that's redeemable. I just don't find anyone remotely interesting, except for Bilbo himself.

I kind of like that he's insufferable. I don't know why it's just weirdly endearing.
