Renting out YOUR personal bike

People wouldn't want to use my bike. It's a 40lb beast and though I can carry it around people always want to rent superlight little city bikes. Furthermore it's a bit of a rustbucket with a squeaky brake and clunky gearshift. I bought it because it's very fucking unlikely to get stolen and still gets me where I need to go, but it's not the kind of thing other people should be riding.

(Anonymous) 2014-07-01 10:04 am (UTC)(link)Also, in the bigger cities of my country, that wouldn't be necessary - the public transportation companies usually have bikes that you can rent standing all over the towns (works similar to the system you're talking about: you call the number on the bike, the bike gets unlocked and you pay for the time you use it and just leave the bike whereever you want).
