Re: Renting out YOUR personal bike

Could be an interesting concept, but I wouldn't be too happy about it - even if it's insured, I'd much prefer keeping my bike instead of getting the insurance money to get a new one should it get damaged or stolen.

Also, in the bigger cities of my country, that wouldn't be necessary - the public transportation companies usually have bikes that you can rent standing all over the towns (works similar to the system you're talking about: you call the number on the bike, the bike gets unlocked and you pay for the time you use it and just leave the bike whereever you want).
