Jaime and Cersei. To me, it seems like genuinely viewing their relationship as romantic is missing the point. Even weirder, most Jaime and Cersei shippers actually want Jaime to kill Cersei in the end. I'm so confused.

I don't think most people who ship it really ship it in the romantic puppies and flowers sense. It's fucked up, horrible, and toxic, and that's the draw - it's something that's fascinating to read about in a fictional context, where no one real is getting hurt by it. People are shippers in the sense that they want to see that dynamic explored further.
