Any Thranduil/[Dwarf] pairing.

Thranduil comes off as being anywhere between sneeringly dismissive of dwarves, to outright hating them. The Dwarves in turn should have outright distrustful attitudes to him, some (like Thorin) for more personal reasons than others.

I'd also state certain canon-dictated factors like the strongly implied monogamy in LotR-verse, and how much of an anathema rape is supposed to be to Elves, but both of those get ignored to a fingers-in-ears-and-singing-loudly extent.

I feel the same to a lesser degree about any Mirkwood Elf/Dwarf pairing barring Legolas/Gimli, but I do think that only works during LotR events, because in Hobbit events [movie] Legolas is too much of an asshole and Gimli is too young.
