Huh? I'm very confused - I don't know if I've ever seen that movie, but I grew up with the Münchhausen tales and the whole point of them was that every single thing he said he did were lies. He is the epitome of an unreliable narrator.
I really don't understand what this secret is getting at. Is the movie presenting the tales as true stories?

I never saw this movie either but I'm just amused there's a Münchhausen secret. I didn't grow up with them but read the stories in my German classes in school so this takes me back.
