"Smile!"/"You need to smile!" - I'm sorry, who the fuck are you?

People who think compassion is something reserved only for a select few. Usually babies and cute animals. But oh dear god, if you have sympathy for the devil, then you're a disgusting prick and totally justifying what the devil did.

This next one probably seems like a contradiction, but anytime I hear the gory details of a murder/assault on an innocent person or animal. It's one thing when there's a death or abduction, it's another when there are a lot of details, including mutilation or rape or some prolonged episode that involved terrorizing the shit out of the victim before they died or were rescued. The initial crime is bad enough; was the rest absolutely necessary?

Anyone who uses a cell phone while driving. In any form.

I once had a stranger look at me and go "you're too serious". I gave him an awkward smile because sometimes I smile nervously when I don't know how to react. He says "that's better". No. That obviously uncomfortable smile on my face was in no way better than the neutral expression I had before.

Oh, you missed the perfect opportunity to mess with that guy. You should have looked him in the eye, gave him your saddest face and said, "My mom just died." (Even if it wasn't true.) Man, he would have felt like a heel. And who knows, maybe he would have never asked that question again out of fear of this scenario repeating.

Oh man, I always want to say someone died when I'm told by a stranger to smile. The only reason I don't is that on the slim chance that person were to then actually die, I'd carry irrational feelings of responsibility my whole life.

Maybe choose a family member or sort of pet that you don't actually have (like, if you don't have a brother, say, your brother died, if you don't have a dog, say your dog died) - that way there is no danger that this situation can arise.
