Adults being mean to/about kids or seriously underestimating them. Kids DO have emotions and thoughts other than "I will please you" and "I will displease you", you know. Don't be an asshole to them, and maybe you'll see for yourself.

Not in historical context or what not, but you don't pretend to act like another race by letting loose that kind of language.

People telling me what I think. As in, telling me what I like, what I dislike, how I see things, etc. I don't even like articles that say things like "YOU think this... but this other person/people thinks blah blah blah..." YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I THINK, ASSHOLE.

When people post a picture of fandom characters with elaborate headcanons because they're touching in the picture or they're looking into each other's eyes with longing or they're leaning in for a kiss or they're reaching out to one another because they're so in love and it's so obvious that they're meant to be together...

But they're not. They're standing perfectly straight and looking at the camera and I'm beginning to worry about you, online friends, because your fandom-colored glasses are hindering your perception of reality.

Political stereotypes. The article is one thing which can be hard sometimes to determine if the writing swings towards one side or not (why is it so hard to find middle ground basics reporting with no bias?). The comments? Something else!

Referring to their canon (or even rpf) as "____ homos or boyfriends."

Baseball homos/boyfriends.

Parents who refuse to vaccinate their kids.

Bullying.

People who use religion as an excuse to mistreat people. (Kinda goes with bullying.)

Insurance companies that deny shit and make it impossible to get the meds or help someone in my family needs, and as a result he's wasting away with Parkinson's. They don't give a single fuck.

"Important" news that's actually made up by trolls and spread around because people don't care about checking sources.

Not exactly a berserk button, but people calling themselves or their interests trash has really been grating my nerves lately. This also goes for super negative people.

I don't get angry easily. I let the rage simmer and boil and build up, then it all comes gushing out in a hissy-fit.

Using Sheeple in any discussion unless you are very obviously and clearly using the term ironically.

I didn't think this was a berserk button (because it's really not berserk worthy) but I just ragequit some Ryan/Esposito Castle fics because one had Esposito refer to Ryan's father as his "Da" which not even Ryan does on the show, much less Esposito, and the other...I guess technically I didn't quit the story, because the summary was enough. It was all about Beckett hearing Esposito swearing in Spanish, but Esposito is usually so articulate in English, and if he'd reverted back to "his native tongue" it's because something happened to Ryan.

I got this my entire life. Really. MY ENTIRE LIFE. To the point that I am really short fused about it. Like I'm sorry I don't fit your stereotypes. And I got this from everyone, white, black, Hispanic, Asian. What's worse was getting it from fellow mixed kids. You would think they would understand what it feels like to not look exactly like one ethnic side or another. But no...freakin' idiots.
