someday we'll build it

It reminds me of billboards on a freeway. And about as socially engaging. But it's prettier scenery, at least, so I don't have bad feelings about it.

I do wish there were a forum like tumblr (with the ease of posting media) that was siloed on communities, where people could gather and discuss things, though. Someday maybe a bunch of us will kickstart a project to build it. I'd quit my job to work on that.

I've thought about this a lot. Thinking about what it would involve and such... but the answer I come up with always amounts to "tumblr, but with forums and maybe chatrooms."

I almost wish the general fandom situation mirrored dreamwidth rp, as much as I don't like plurk. But just... fandom could do most of its media posting and such on tumblr, even if discussion and whatnot took place on a completely different site.

One better than plurk, but still.
