once you get deep into sjw-ism this shit starts happening. on a forum i ditched, someone complained about her obnoxious, slob roomate sleeping with a lot of people without giving her a heads up and called her a slut and everyone who replied was like "um can you not use slut? that's slut-shaming" and completely ignored how awful OP's living situation was.

The word slut-shaming implies you're shaming sluts, which means they're still sluts even if you're shaming them.

At least come up with a better term if you're going complain about the word slut.

Which anon replying to dethtoll? Fedora anon? They got one response calling them a skank in a clearly flippant manner and no other responses.

I'm not sure you're aware of the definition of bullying. One flippant response doesn't count. Here is an example definition, in the event you are unsure!

"skank" is slut-shaming and abusive. both the anons (if they're not the same person) were being bullied and mocked. how is "YOU ARE A HUGE FAKE" not bullying? and dethtoll was ecouraging all this!

you really can't see this? i thought fandom secrets was better than this kind of shit. i'm not surprised i'm wrong, but i am disappointed

Unfortunately, being mocked is different from being bullied, and I feel it's very important to keep this distinction clear. Or else every time anyone flings one insult, it's bullying! Which it isn't.

so the MAN who runs fandomsecrets ignores a clear-cut case of bullying and slut-shaming because it doesn't meet HIS definition of bullying, and freezes a thread about slut-shaming for no good reason

I froze the thread because the thread to alert me to things going on in threads is not the place to debate the validity of the term "slut-shaming." You can go on and do that in GC if you like! :)

As for the rest, I have to just repeat myself, I guess:

that is YOUR definition of bullying. but mocking IS bullying, "skank" IS slut-shaming, and any safe space run by a MAN is by definition not a safe space

Maybe you should find a safer space, not run by a man, where the general consensus is that one line of mocking is considered full-force bullying, then. It seems you would be happier and more secure there.

I'm not sure where such a place might be, though. I'd be interested in finding out, if you know of any.
