Why are you comparing heroines from the 1930s and 1950s to movies from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s? Disney's princesses in recent decades are plenty admirable (not that Snow and Cindy aren't in their own way either) and it's a shame if you're going to shut your daughter out of that because of your own agenda.
