....I highly doubt that would work as advertised (being buffered by flesh, veins, nerves, etc.) and even if it did...they likely wouldn't be able to "sense" any magnetic field other than an MRI with it...and they would have other problems, in that case.

I had an otolargynologist recommend a BAHA (bone-assisted hearing aid) implant to me once. (I am the deaf!anon who is not dethtoll LOL.) Practically ran screaming from the office, I did. Six! Titanium! Screws! On both sides of my skull. No, no, no thank you, no, definitely not.

Hmm, I'd be weary about my skull too. Then again I had gastric banding, which in retrospect was far more insane than any implant could ever be. The good thing is I now have two people who are basically willing guinea pigs so I can see if it works.
