Being Human and Misfits

(Anonymous) 2014-07-04 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
I tried Being Human (the UK one), and I just couldn't get into it. It didn't help that the description had me expecting a dark comedy, but even after the fact... I liked it at first, but it just got too dark for me. I know all these people who see it as the best show ever, but I just... can't.

As for Misfits, when even the mind-reading character's dog ended up hating her, I just rolled my eyes and stopped watching. I know you shouldn't judge a show by its first episode, but I just... couldn't get into it.

I only watched the first episode of Misfits but I wasn't digging it either. And tbh I even feel you probably shouldn't judge a show by its first episode, but I didn't have any desire to see more of it so I didn't bother.

Maybe it gets better.

I gave up on Misfits when the guy walked into a public bathroom, slipped on a pool of blood, and then peed facing a blood-spattered wall while the axe-hacked stall door swung freely behind him, all without noticing that something strange was going on.

Yeah, that is pretty bad.
