vague spoilers for Black Sails & spoilers for Helix

Comics: Jupiter's Legacy, Sex Criminals, Umbral, Deadpool (or more specifically, the earliest Deadpool comics. Some of them were fine, some...eh. And I've seen wonderful pages featuring Deadpool in more recent years so I imagine I would enjoy those, but trekking through all the earlier stuff to get there is not fun).

TV: Black Sails. Not sure if it got any better but the only people I was interested in were Eleanor/Max and Billy, and that didn't seem like a good enough reason to watch. Especially when it seemed like Eleanor/Max might be sunk.

Helix, too. It started out alright, but by the time Doreen died I didn't care much. I didn't like the cast much in general, and Doreen was my favorite character, and I was really shipping her and Sergio so that broke my heart even more. Just...wasn't worth it after that.

Ugh, Doreen was my favorite character, too. I wasn't even surprised when she died because she was a headstrong, plump, and likable woman. I mostly just heaved a big sigh of disappointment.

I don't know what it is about shows wanting to star unlikable characters.

I think I was in denial. Like, I knew her living wasn't likely, but I refused to accept it. I even said a couple times, "Girl, no", but thought, "She's basically the only likable person on this show, they wouldn't do that."

...Damn you, Syfy.
