Dead characters getting left behind by the fandom as well as the creators and surviving characters. My show's accumulated quite a few seasons now and with a few exceptions, the fandom gradually loses interest in characters who've been dead or gone for a while. Understandable, I suppose, but sometimes I wish a little more of the attention lavished on the newer characters would be spent on those who've been gone a while instead.
