This. Like a lot of people, innitially I did root for Lester and didn't want the police to find out what he did, but not after a few episodes in.

Hell, I wasn't even rooting for him because I was cringing so much at most of his scenes. Second hand embarrassment is a bitch.

IMO Martin Freeman was amazing as Lester and probably did deserve that award (I say probably because I don't actually know who else was nominated, lol), but as the show progressed Lester turned into a monster who made it impossible to have sympathy for. That was the whole point, right? So there's nothing odd about caring about Molly more; she was a good person and a great cop and she should have all the nice things. (And the actress seems awesome. She wrote her own IMDB page, btw. It's hilarious. I want to be her friend.)

I hope Fargo gives her lots of new opportunities because she's adorable and very talented and deserves lots of praise and plenty of fans. I'm glad she won too, especially since she's still somewhat new to acting. (From what I understand, anyway?)

I just went to her imdb page. Pretty sweet and funny.

Lester was supposed to be jaw droppingly horrible, right, but it sort of crept up on you? Freeman did his job well.

I was totally surprised upon vising her IMDB page. Don't think I've ever seen an actor or actress write their own, and it was incredibly good humored and charming. I hope her career skyrockets.

IMO Lester was sympathetic at first, even when he was doing terrible things. But he gets progressively worse, and slips up again and again, and becomes too cruel and flippant about his actions. At least at the start he still had a conscious and felt bad about what he was doing, but by the end of the series he just didn't care; anything to survive.

He was very good!

FUCK YES MOLLY SOLVERSON ♥
She was the preciousest, and the most bamfest (of the legal side), and solving all the crime man she was my favourite among all the favourites I had. She was obviously the character I was rooting for, and I was getting so invested in people taking her seriously. Plus, her relationship with the dad was the cutest shit, and it was so easy to ship her with Grimly.
(The show accidentally trolled me in the first episode because I had thought they had given the role of The Marge to boring Chief Guy.)

Lester was fascinating for me to watch though. Even though he was completely awful, I really wanted to see him succeed in whatever nasty shit he was doing because it was just interesting. I couldn't wait for his comeuppance, but at the same time I was like, "Okay, I wanna see where this is going? Uh huh. Uh huhhhh. Oh man." Not so much interest in who the character was, but in how much worse he could become.

I think everyone watching this series liked her. Lester had a good start but there is no way his actions are justified in the last episodes. You basically end up hating him.

And Martin not winning was okay too because Billy Bob Thornton really deserved it.
