* = while I'm here, is anyone else irritated that Steve Rogers' birthday is coincidentally on July 4th, or is that just me? It feels contrived for Steve Rogers' birthday to be Independence Day. Captain America's birthday being 4th of July, yes, Steve Rogers, not recommended.

I sort of think the Steve Rogers thing is cute, but that might be rabid fangirl stages of denial. Or the fact I'm not American.

That being said, I went to an engagement party today. Which was pretty cool. The couple celebrated it by jumping out of a plane (some of my friends are so awesome) and we had BBQ after. So, a pretty good 4th of July celebration considering I'm not actually in the USA.

Independence Day is big enough over here that him being born on it feels...artificial, I guess, or contrived in a way.

Eventually. This seemed more excessive than usual, but that might be due to hurricane Arthur cancelling a lot of the firework celebrations this year.
