I'm in my mid 30's and I'm pretty sure I am a guy.

But admitting it out loud, to actual people, means I am going to lose my partner and my family. And I am just not strong enough to do that.

I thought that. I did lose my dad, but my partner stood with me all the way through it and the rest of my family (and specially my inlaws) are ok to very supportive.
