I can't watch anything where the fat chick gets the guy because haha, no, the fat chick gets verbal abuse and shaming and will never, ever be anything but alone. Though if I'm honest, it's "attractive fat chick gets the guy", and I can't identify with that because I'm hideous - though it doesn't stop a little part of me hurting with it, and avoiding those shows.
(And before anyone chimes in with 'but you're young!' - I'm not. I'm a really old person for fandom. I've been getting this shit since before some of you were born. It never fucking changes. It never will.)
(Also not meaning to try and say I have it worse than OP, I'm aware that I have a lot of sexuality/race/class/whatever privilege that makes my life easier than a lot of people's)

Eh, like you said, it's "attractive fat chick gets the guy". It's not necessarily being fat - I have an obese roommate who dates a new guy every other week, and is pretty much always the dumper and not the dumpee. But she's well-proportioned, blonde, and has a very pretty face.

It's being unattractive. Fucking hell do I ever hate it when men complain and whinge about how "easy" it is for girls to get a boyfriend and how no girls ever like them (by which they mean no girls they want like them, by which they mean hot girls). Ooohhhh nooooo women are soooooo shallow. Fuck you, pal. Fuck you in eye. At least unattractive men can eventually win a significant other through success or humor or kindness, or just straight up waiting until they're at an age where all of their peers are trying to date younger women, then being the only guy willing to date a woman his own age.

An unattractive woman is just screwed. Forever. It is literally all men care about when it comes to starting relationships. Sure they value other things, but only if the attraction is already there. They aren't willing to look past it for anything. OK Cupid posted a statistical analysis of user contacts and responses by attractiveness rating - unattractive men got fewer responses, sure, but they got some. Women at the lowest end got none. Not "few". Literally none. Everyone's all "oh just put yourself out there". Yeah, we have. We get "thanks but no thanks" every time. At best. (Mostly "fuck off fatty" or nothing.)

Sure, maybe that's the way the world works, and men have it hard in other ways, but frankly they can FUCK RIGHT OFF with the "girls don't like me baw/girls are so shallow baw". Hahahahah. Yeah right back at you pal, ten times over.

Anon, please please don't. I don't know your situation, but I'm sure there are people who will miss you and multitudes of ways for your life to get better. At the very least, you are definitely capable of fulfilling a meaningful life and robbing yourself of that is incredibly cruel.

But to do that, I really encourage you to talk to someone outside of the internet about how you're feeling, so they can help you. This is definitely something that you can improve from, but it takes a lot of work and there's only so much that strangers on the internet can do.
