Yea, this is why I read so little Thor/Loki. I love the pairing, but the number of 'Loki is a weepy bottom' stuff irritates me and doesn't fit the image I have of him. I agree with you very much on Loki being so power hungry and in need of control that I think he would love topping. (Not that I would be adverse to him ever bottoming, but ugh, I just want to read Thor/Loki with bottom!Thor. Fandom, you disappoint.)

I've read a couple, but they seem rare. I get that he's huge and stupidly strong (something that a lot of people see and think, "Top!") but...that doesn't mean he wouldn't be cool with being on the bottom as well. (Thor is pretty chill, I think he would accept it easily enough and be pretty nonchalant about it.)

I'm going with “They do things differently in Asgard” (apparently the comics have kind of made this canon? Or at least Loki has made comments about not understanding Earth culture, and from the sounds of it Asgard in general is pretty liberal about sex and sexuality) and that Thor wouldn't have any sexual hangups and would be open to experimentation.

That's my headcanon, anyway.

(I personally wish there was lots of toppy!Loki/Thor with bdsm elements, but what can you do.)

It's his eyes for me. They make him look like a pug and it just turns me off but ymmv. Don't worry about it. I've no intentions of going too much further ehen I talk about his looks.

I feel like such an old fart tbh. I don't get the squeeing over a majority of fandom's darlings.

I wish that people tagged for comics and movieverse better, but at this point I guess there's no going back; people are too set in their ways and the damage is done. It's unfortunate for everyone.

Everyone has different tastes though. That's all I can say really, because we have very different opinions on this matter. (Tom Cruise doesn't do anything for me, but he is conventionally attractive I suppose?)
