I don't know; I think there are stylistic markers in manga and in N. American/European comics that very generally speaking, if I saw an image from one or the other with little context or language cues, I'd be decent at sorting them into geographical origin. But I don't think there's any less diversity in manga art than in Western comics, though diversity in both can seem to narrow when you pick a popular genre in them to look at.
