like, please, there are FAR more important issues lgbt people face that have nothing to do with your OTP becoming canon. such as, oh, i don't know... homelessness, violence, workplace discrimination, sexual assault, drug abuse...
to me, it basically just reeks of crazy tinhat shippers grasping at social justice issues of the month in order to make their pairing more "valid" and "moral" than other pairings. like if you don't ship it or you don't want it be canon YOU MUST BE HOMOPHOBIC!!!
lol no fuck off and quit using issues that actually affect me for your shipping.
(i'm thinking of dean/cas shippers in particular here, since there's a lot of that on the "bi" tags on tumblr, which gets annoying very quickly. but it's in other fandoms as well.)
