I was completely shocked to discover the kind of hate-on the internet had for Riley. He wasn't the most fascinating guy, sure, but he was the healthiest relationship Buffy ever had, I adored him just for not trying being a psychopath to her.

Definitely. I do think he was the "Rebound guy," and yeah, he was on the white bread side, but he was a decent guy and he was good for her.
