I don't know if it has ended but I am finding it hilarious that most of the people on my dash are blaming Tumblr.

No. /pol/ was blatantly trolling. All of 4chan KNEW this because they understand how this works. Then some moronic Tumblr SJWs thought it was actually people. So they decided to "rally the troops" and take over 4chan. They made like 10 feminist threads that were quickly deleted. 4chan had a great laugh and retaliated.

I had two blogs randomly follow me (one named after July 4rth and another one about being thug or something) that are so clearly troll accounts that it makes me wonder how much 4channers don't get that most people don't auto-follow back a random stranger, so it's not like they'll be able to invade people's dashes as easily.

It was big yesterday, all I saw today was "The rumours about anonymous getting involved are not true because anonymous doesn't care about this sort of thing."

People have been flooding popular tumblr tags with graphic animal abuse and gore pictures. I assume these are 4chan people.

Poked into one of the tags I check semi-regularly, saw gore, blocked the poster and reported it as spam. I don't know if it's 4chan or just the normal, random trolling that seems to pop up every so often, and I don't really care.

Mostly I just can't get over the fact that 4chan was apparently somehow under the impression that most tumblr users spend any significant amount of time browsing tags.

True, a new account will - but the vast majority of people on tumblr aren't new accounts and probably don't spend all that much time browsing tags.
