shooshing and papping are humorous mispellings in the comic of the words shushing and patting, added as sound effects to a character doing exactly that to calm someone out of a berserk rage. fandom has built a while "it's alien gestures/sounds of comfort" thing around them.

pale and flushed are two positive romance types (because there are also some based around hatesex and being cockblocked from hatesex woo), only the pale one is more of the cuddles and trying to fix your emotional issues and unstability type, and flushed is more passionate, and is definitely sexual. pale isn't supposed to have a sexual component but that doesn't mean it can't be tenderly romantic, and the characters definitely don't view it as a platonic relationship or simply as a friendship with a special name.

So basically the secret maker is complaining that some asexual romance is finding its way into their porn. Which kinda sucks, I agree, when you're looking for sexual relationships it's frustrating to know the story you've been reading sees them as chaste soulmates forevermore and there will be no makeouts, but ... yeah, whether it was tagged properly or not, it's not something the fandom will untangle anytime soon.

There's the "explicit" tag if they really want to find porn. Or they can sort by an M or above rating. They really have no excuse to bitch about finding sexless romance of their ships; it's not like people hide the porn.
