I still think they should do a Disney Heroines line-up. Split it up between the "princess-y" princesses that have all the associated tropes and the ones that don't.

So, Princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Anna.

Heroines: Esmeralda, Pocahontas, Mulan, Merida, and Elsa for sure. Possibly also Wendy, Alice, Megara and Kida. Maybe also Jane Porter.

I split them up this way not exactly by princess/not princess but by how much of a princess movie they were in and how much they have the standard 'princess' tropes. So, even though Merida is a princess (and part of the line-up!) she doesn't really fit the feel of the Disney Princess line-up, and they don't know what to do with her.

Some I didn't include at all because they wouldn't really fit in with a franchise either way. Nani and Lilo occur in the modern day, and are basically ordinary sisters. Some other characters, like Eilonwy, are simply not popular at all.
