(Anonymous) 2014-07-08 08:09 am (UTC)(link)I guess the main way to differentiate them if you cannot see their hair color is to assume the reckless, joking, adventure-seeking, flirting, happy-go lucky dialog comes from Starbuck whereas the responsible, grown-up, take-charge, duty and family orientated stuff comes from Apollo.
Admittedly both their personalities are pretty cliched, but you may already have noted that these two characters were rather predictable: the original BSG series may have been rather pedestrian -it as targeted at kids, not adults like the reboot- but what we lost in surprise and character development, was compensated by a reliable character and story consistency, both of which may seem rather outdated nowadays...
