It was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. I enjoyed it, it felt like a love-letter to the manga. Can't wait for Mercury in two weeks.

I am even more excited to see what they did with my favourite, Rei. Her character was so awful and unbearable in the original anime, if you ask me. Completely not the amazing person I read in the manga. I hope we get to see Phobos and Deimos this time around.

Did you watch the dub or the sub? I gotta admit, I preferred anime!Rei, largely because she was more hot-headed and dorky. Manga!Rei was awesome in other ways. They were both my favorites, though.

Completely agree with you on Rei. Manga!Rei was such a badass. OldAnime!Rei, while cool in her own way, just didn't stand up.
