Thanks! I saw it in Crunchyroll, but I ignored the sub most of the time so I didn't notice it was THAT bad. Now I understand the complains, even if I didn't even know about them before.

To be fair, though, some of those "mistakes" are just localization attempts (it'll be better it someone told the companies that most fans don't like localizations), but some others... did they hire a professional translator? Because it doesn't seem so, even if they were working on a short deadline.

A lot of friends are disappointed in the subs, partially because they don't speak Japanese (don't expect them to), and think that if the company did go with a professional translator (and why not, especially for the paid services), phrases like "Cat speaks?" could have been tidied up.

I wouldn't even say localizations, but there's a lot of direct translation and some liberties could have been taken to express the content being spoken in a better way.
